Jerry: No Issues With Jenkins' Medical Info

ARLINGTON, Texas --Jerry Jones on Thursday refuted an NFL.com report that stated cornerback Mike Jenkins had not shared medical records with the Cowboys regarding his rehab from offseason shoulder surgery.

"We've got all the information there is," Jones said. "It's absolutely not an issue. There is just no issue at all with him.

"He's going to play. We know good and well he's not going to sit here and not play this year. We've got all the medical information we need. He'll go to work and get in here and help us win."

Asked about reports that Jenkins will continue his rehab in Florida until he's required to report to Valley Ranch along with other injured players in the days before training camp, Jones said, "I know he'll ultimately get in a position to play. It's just not in his best interests not to be ready to play. If it's later, we'll use him later."

The club has conceded that Jenkins likely will not be healthy enough for the start of camp and very well could be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
