Kitna Throws, But Only About "60 Percent"

Jon Kitna did not practice today, but he did do some throwing beforehand at about "60 percent accuracy and velocity," he said.

If the season finale was today, he wouldn't be ready to start against the Eagles, even though the knifing pain in his oblique muscle has subsided.

"Today it didn't progress the way it needed to for me to give us the best chance on Sunday right now," he said. "But we've got 48 hours to see what happens."

That said, it would seem likely Kitna's listed as "questionable" on the injury report this afternoon and could be a game-time decision. Interim head coach Jason Garrett said Kitna would travel with the team regardless.

Stephen McGee has taken first-team reps in Kitna's place this week.

"He's a great week of practice, especially today," Kitna said. "He finished it off with a really good week."

The Cowboys have signed practice squad quarterback Chris Greisen to the active roster. Greisen said he's been at Valley Ranch at least 12 hours a day studying the Eagles and the Cowboys' own scheme.
