Murray Nominated For FedEx Weekly Rushing Award For Eighth Time

For the first time in nearly a month, DeMarco Murray is back among the finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week Award.

It's an honor Murray has been recognized for eight times this year, but the first since Week 10 against the Jaguars.

But Murray's season-high 179 rushing yards against the Bears last Thursday has him among the three candidates, along with Pittsburgh's Le'Veon Bell and Carolina's Jonathan Stewart.

Murray had a career-high 41 touches in the Cowboys' 41-28 win over the Bears. The running back went for 32 carries, but also had a career-high nine catches for 49 yards.

The other side of the award – the FedEx Air Player of the Week – includes finalists of Ben Roethlisberger, Matthew Stafford and Aaron Rodgers.

To vote for the players, go to NFL.com/FedEx. The winners will be announced Thursday.

If Murray wins yet again, another $2,000 donation will be made to the Dallas local chapter of the American Red Cross.
