Practice Report: Ware Still Out; Hatcher, Butler Return

IRVING, Texas – With most of the ice melted away, the Dallas Cowboys returned to Valley Ranch on Thursday for an outdoor practice in 34 degree weather.

-DeMarcus Ware didn't attend the portion of practice available to the media for the second straight practice this week. He's nursing lingering injuries to his shoulder and elbow. Jason Garrett still expects Ware to play in Sunday's game against Washington, but it's still unknown whether he'll practice at all before then.

-Jason Hatcher was back on the field Thursday suited up with a helmet and participating in team stretches and warm-ups. Hatcher looked like planned to participate after missing Wednesday's practice with a thigh injury.

-Victor Butler was back at practice with his helmet. He sat out Wednesday's practice with a groin injury. With Ernie Sims still being monitored for a concussion and Ware's health in question, Butler's availability would be important for depth in Sunday night's game.

-Ernie Sims once again looked to be a full participant in Thursday's practice. Sims practiced on Wednesday and said he felt fine. However, he felt the same way heading into last Sunday's game only to remove himself in the first quarter due to dizziness. Sims will be monitored and put through various concussion tests as the week progresses.
