IRVING, Texas - After seeing two offensive starters pop  up on the injury report on Thursday, both players were at least on the field when practice began Friday at Valley Ranch.

How much both Terrance Williams and Zack Martin will be able to do Friday is still undetermined but being out there is at least a good sign.

Williams fell to the ground Thursday and tweaked his back, causing him to sit out of the team drills. He was participating in Friday's pat-and-go session while the media was in attendance. His status for Sunday will be revealed later in the day.

Martin has a strained foot that kept him limited on Thursday but was on the field Friday and appeared ready to practice.

Other injured players on the field were defensive end George Selvie and defensive tackle Terrell McClain, who have been limited all week. Selvie is expected to play with a shoulder setback but McClain's status could be more uncertain with a sprained ankle that has kept him out all of the preseason. [embedded_ad]

Captains Named

The Cowboys announced the five captains for the 2014 season, which includes three undrafted players. Tony Romo and Jason Witten were voted by the players as the two offensive captains. ON defense, Barry Church and Justin Durant were named captains while Dan Bailey is the special teams captain.
