Pre-Draft Visits About To Get Underway

IRVING, Texas --With the NFL Draft now less than a month away, the Cowboys are expected to conduct the bulk of their 30 national prospect visits at Valley Ranch this week.

Teams are permitted to have "Top 30" visits at their facilities each year, which provides a more extended interview process for coaches and officials than the Senior Bowl or Combine does.

The Cowboys have not released an official list, but names will begin to filter in over the next 24-48 hours. Offensive tackle Tyron Smith was among last year's group and wound going ninth overall to Dallas.

Also expected in early April is the Cowboys' annual "Dallas Day" workout for prospects with local high school and college ties.
