Pro Bowl Replacements Named For Injured Cowboys Martin, Tyron Smith

FRISCO, Texas – The NFL has announced that 49ers offensive tackle Joe Staley and Panthers guard Trai Turner will replace Cowboys Pro Bowlers Tyron Smith and Zack Martin, who will not participate in Sunday's all-star game due to injury.

Smith played only one series in the Cowboys' final two games due to a knee injury, and he missed two other games with a groin injury. Martin recently had a clean-up procedure on his elbow but should be ready for the offseason program.

Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence, center Travis Frederick and 11-time Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten – announced Monday as an alternate – are still expected to represent the Cowboys on the NFC squad.

The Pro Bowl kicks off Sunday at 2 p.m. in Orlando.
