RB Dunbar, Punter Jones Sign Their One-Year Restricted FA Tenders

IRVING, Texas – Running back Lance Dunbar and punter Chris Jones have signed their restricted free agent tenders, keeping them under contract with the Cowboys through the 2015 season.

Dunbar and Jones each received the original draft choice tender worth $1.54 million. Because neither were drafted, the Cowboys wouldn't have received any draft pick compensation if a team had signed either to an offer sheet that Cowboys didn't match.

Both appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys last season. Dunbar gained 362 all-purpose yards as a rusher, receiver and kick returner. Jones had a 39.8-yard net average on 57 punts.

Dunbar and Jones were the Cowboys' only remaining restricted free agents. The club negotiated a new four-year, $13.6 million contract with wide receiver Cole Beasley and did not issue a restricted tender to cornerback Sterling Moore, who subsequently signed with the Buccaneers.
