IRVING, Texas – Fresh off a dramatic division win in New York, the Cowboys have been nominated for two of the NFL's weekly performance awards.
Firstly, for the second time this year, and second straight game, Tony Romo has been nominated for the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week.
Romo's four-touchdown performance against the Giants, which included a game-winning drive and scoring strike to Dez Bryant in the final minute, gave Dallas a much-needed 31-28 comeback win over New York. He passed for 275 yards and found Bryant in the end zone twice, along with scoring tosses to Jason Witten and Cole Beasley. He was also nominated for his three-touchdown game against the Jaguars in London.
The Cowboys' winning drive has also been nominated for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week, announced Tuesday. After the Giants took a 28-24 lead with three minutes remaining, Romo took the offense 80 yards on seven plays to answer. He completed all six pass attempts for 66 yards and the game-winning touchdown.
Fans who want to vote for Romo for the FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week can do so at NFL.com/FedEx. Other players nominated this week alongside Romo are Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and San Diego's Philip Rivers.
If Romo wins, a $2,000 donation will be made to the Dallas local chapter of the American Red Cross.
The running back side of the award features Denver's C.J. Anderson, Philly's LeSean McCoy and Justin Forsett of the Ravens.

The Cowboys are up against Oakland quarterback Derek Carr's game-winning touchdown pass to James Jones against Kansas City, as well as Cleveland quarterback Brian Hoyer leading a game-winning drive in the last minute against Atlanta.
