At 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, a handful of bright-eyed rookies made their way to a ballroom in the team hotel here in San Antonio, ready to take their NFL headshots, taking team physicals and more importantly, grab their NFL playbook for the first time.
Not long after that, most of the veteran players trickled through the hotel lobby and have at least checked in and are reporting for duty.
The schedule for Wednesday consists of a conditioning test in the afternoon and then the first team meeting of the offseason with head coach Jason Garrett, and most likely owner/GM Jerry Jones as well.
Jones and Garret will also hold a pre-camp press conference, to be aired live here on Dallascowboys.com at 3 p.m.
And that will take the team to Thursday's beginning of training camp, where the Cowboys will hold a short walk-through at 10 a.m. before the 2:30 p.m. practice in pads. That will be the typical practice schedule for the Cowboys during these two weeks here in San Antonio.
After a long, slow offseason, it seems the Cowboys have completely hit the ground running here in San Antonio.
