Roster Trimmed To 87 Players After LB Greenhouse Released

The Cowboys have to be down to 75 players by Monday, but they're slowly making their way to that number in the meantime.

The club waived linebacker Isaiah Greenhouse on Thursday, putting them at 87 players. Greenhouse suffered a hand injury two weeks ago and hasn't played in the first two games. This is second straight training camp but he was more of a non-factor this year.

Last season, he made some headlines by switching from linebacker to fullback in the middle of camp. His play on special teams gave him an outside shot to stick around before he was eventually waived.

He re-signed with the team in the offseason and spent all summer with the group but his hand injury was another setback.

With 12 players left to release before Monday, one will likely be receiver Donavon Kemp, who suffered an ACL injury in practice this week against the Chargers. The Cowboys will likely put him on waived/injured where he will revert to injured reserve.
