Team Monitoring Ware's Workload

IRVING, Texas --DeMarcus Ware missed Wednesday's practice with the neck stinger suffered Dec. 4 at Arizona, but the Pro Bowl linebacker expects to be ready against Tampa Bay.

"I didn't play as many plays as I wanted to play last game, but it's actually went away now because I played with it the game before," Ware said after practice. "I'm fine now."

Ware also missed one day of practice last week. The Cowboys monitored his workload in last Sunday's loss to the Giants and are continuing to do so this week as a precaution.

Ware has never missed a game in his seven-year career and has dealt with neck stingers before.

"You'd rather not have one, but he's fought through this kind of stuff before," head coach Jason Garrett said. "The biggest concern when you have an injury like that is if you get them, you start to get them more frequently, so we have to monitor him in practice and limit his contact in practice and get him to the ball game."
