KANSAS CITY – Guard Brian Waters and defensive end Anthony Spencer are active for the first time this year, as the Cowboys prepare to take on the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

The inactives for the Cowboys are wide receiver Cole Beasley, running back Joseph Randle, linebacker Ernie Sims, guard David Arkin, tackle Darrion Weems, tight end Andre Smith and defensive end Caesar Rayford. Sims (groin) is the only player inactive because of an injury.

Waters practiced mostly with the second-team group since joining the team after training camp, and the Cowboys now feel he's conditioned well enough to suit up this weekend. Spencer practiced on a limited basis this week for the first time after knee surgery. He said earlier this week he expects to contribute in a limited role.

This is the first week one of the Cowboys' draft picks is active, as Joseph Randle will be out. Running back Lance Dunbar is active after missing last week with a sprained foot. Safety Danny McCray is also active this week after missing the opener.
