With Holland Still Out, Kosier Flips Sides

SAN ANTONIO --Rookie right tackle Tyron Smith had a veteran guard working next to him again in Monday's practice.

It was Kyle Kosier, not Montrae Holland.

With Holland still sidelined by back spasms, Kosier flipped sides to take some reps at right guard and rookie David Arkin played left guard. The Cowboys would like a veteran guard next to the 20-year-old Smith, who has played better as camp continues.

Kosier has manned left guard since 2006. Holland, considered day-to-day, is projected to replace Leonard Davis on the right side. But conditioning and minor injuries have plagued him in practice.

Hardly a permanent move, but something to keep an eye on.
