WR Clay Released; Cut To 80 Tuesday

IRVING, Texas --The Cowboys must trim their roster to 80 players by Tuesday. They're down to 81 players Monday with the expected release of wide receiver Curtis Clay. Center Andre Gurode was also released.

The team signed Clay Aug. 12 to replace injured wideout Titus Ryan. The undrafted rookie out of TCU had been working with the third-teamers in practice.

The Cowboys' final roster cut to 53 players is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 3, two days after their preseason finale at Miami.
