FRISCO, Texas — It's time to officially kick the tires and light the fires, folks. This week marks the start of the 2025 NFL season and there is no shortage of dynamite attached to the matchup that will kick everything off for the entire league, namely the Dallas Cowboys visiting the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
And unless you've been off planet for the past several days, you know the Cowboys enter this early NFC East battle without all-world pass rusher Micah Parsons, traded to the Green Bay Packers six days prior to kickoff in Philly, but with the addition of three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark.
All eyes will be on Dallas' pass rush to see if they can get after Jalen Hurts without Parsons, and to see if the run defense with Clark can do anything to slow down or contain Saquon Barkley.
WHEN AND WHERE:
Date: Thursday, Sept. 4
Time: 7:20 pm CT
Location: Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, PA)
Offensively, the trade for George Pickens gives All-Pro quarterback Dak Prescott another nuclear weapon in tandem with All-Pro record-setting wideout CeeDee Lamb, and Tyler Booker stands as the rookie first-round pick looked upon to help anchor a rebuilt offensive line in the wake of Zack Martin's retirement — against the likes of Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, no less.
Headlines abound with this matchup, to say the very least, and you wouldn't rather be anywhere in the world except glued to your glowing screen to watch every second of this game.
