ARLINGTON, Texas — Regardless of if you put any stock into winning a preseason game or not, the fact is the Dallas Cowboys would like a better showing from their offense and defense when they take the field for their second outing this August — this time against the superphysical and very well-coached Baltimore Ravens.
Brian Schottenheimer will get another chance to evaluate the depth chart as final cutdowns loom on the horizon and, to his own admission, there's still far too much time remaining to begin identifying what the September depth chart will look like; and that includes not deciding yet on if Joe Milton or Will Grier will be the direct backup to Dak Prescott.
WHEN AND WHERE:
Date: Saturday, August 16
Time: 6 pm CT
Location: AT&T Stadium (Arlington, Texas)
Milton had a rough preseason debut that did put at least some positive moments on film, while Grier made the absolute most of his limited reps, the latter also being true for Malik Davis only one day after his reunion with the Cowboys.
Can Milton have a strong bounceback? Can rookie running back Jaydon Blue make his debut to cause wonderful havoc in the RB room? Will rookie first-round pick Tyler Booker see his first action after being a healthy scratch against the Rams??
Tune in for the answers to these questions and many more.
