Cowboys To Sign 20 Rookie FAs

Going into this crazy week, it was unclear exactly how many of the rookie free agents the Cowboys would, or even had room to sign. But they definitely didn't go short.

When camp begins on Wednesday with players reporting for physicals, it's expected that 20 undrafted rookies will be there ready, to wear a star on their helmet come Thursday, the first day of practice here in the Alamodome.

While the odds of making the team will be more difficult than ever for these rookies, who unlike players in the past, haven't had any OTA or mini-camp practices. So when they take the field on Thursday, it will be their first NFL practice of any kind.

And who knows how many reps these guys will get, as teams are now in a hurry to prepare for the season. But they're at least on an NFL roster now and that's at least a good start.
