Wearing a CBS blazer in a photo, Tony Romo took to social media to share that "I guess it's time to start dressing up" as news broke Tuesday that he is retiring from the NFL following his release from the Cowboys and heading to the TV booth as a CBS analyst.

Cowboys players showed an outpouring of respect and emotions for No. 9 all across social media before and after Romo made it official.

The Cowboys' star rookies from 2016 were some of the first players to make posts dedicated to Romo.

Dak Prescott shared how thankful he is to have been a fan as well as a teammate of Romo's, and personally thanked him for advice and being able to make unforgettable plays.
