CowBuzz: Social Buzz from Tony Romo's One-Day Stint With The Dallas Mavericks

Last night was a good night to be Tony Romo. A week after the Cowboys released him and he announced he was stepping away from football, the Dallas Mavericks honored him by making him a key figure at their last home game of the season.

Fans who were wishing to see Tony Romo suit up one last time got a chance to see just that, except only for a different Dallas-area sports team. While Romo didn't actually get to see any minutes, he was a part of the team's warmups and even got announced in the starting lineup. Fans in attendance got to see a tribute unlike any other to the former 14-year Cowboys quarterback.

Obviously the magnitude of the situation created a lot of social buzz. Here are some of the highlights from Tony Romo's one-day stint with the Mavericks.

Before the game, Romo took part in some of the morning shoot arounds. He also got some advice from another Dallas sports great:  

When it came time for the game, the support from the fans was very apparent as Romo jerseys, signs and posters decorated American Airlines Arena:
