Cowboys re-sign TE Princeton Fant
10:00 a.m. -- The Cowboys are bringing back one of their best in-line blocker in 2026.
On Friday, the team re-signed TE Princeton Fant, who spent the 2025 season on Dallas' practice squad.
Fant, 27, signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in 2023. Since then, he's played in 11 career games for Dallas primarily in a special teams role.
Now, Fant will have another opportunity to earn a role that sees increased snaps in the third phase of the game, as Fant played just 11 snaps on special teams in 2025 versus 148 special teams snaps in 2024.
Cowboys, Cobie Durant agree to terms on one-year deal
9:25 a.m. -- After reports surfaced late Thursday night, the Cowboys officially agreed to terms on a one-year deal with CB Cobie Durant on Friday.
Durant, 28, started 15 games last season for the Rams and had six interceptions across the regular season and playoffs. Durant led the NFL in postseason interceptions in 2025 with three, two of which came up crucial in a divisional round win against the Chicago Bears.
Thus far in free agency, the Cowboys have signed two safeties in Jalen Thompson and P.J. Locke. Now, they add the first cornerback from the free agent market to new defensive coordinator Christian Parker's secondary.
At 5'11, 182 pounds, Durant has experience playing on the outside at corner as well as in nickel. Durant is second to only DaRon Bland on the Cowboys' roster in experience, and now joins a room with Bland, Shavon Revel, Caelen Carson and Trikwese Bridges.
Veteran OL Matt Hennessy agrees to terms on one-year deal with Cowboys
9:20 a.m. -- The Cowboys are indeed bulking up with depth on the offensive line, as the team agreed to terms with veteran OL Matt Hennessy Friday morning.
Hennessy has the ability to play both center and guard, but has primarily played center thus far over the course of his NFL career.
Entering the offseason, two of the Cowboys' most valuable depth players on the offensive line in T.J. Bass and Brock Hoffman became restricted free agents. Dallas placed a second-round tender on Bass, but elected not to place a tender on Hoffman, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Should Hoffman elect to sign elsewhere in free agency, Hennessy gives the Cowboys a player with similar experience at multiple positions on the interior of the offensive line.
