FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys fell to 6-8-1 on Sunday after a 34-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Dallas finished the 2025 season with a 4-3-1 record at AT&T Stadium, as their final two games against the Washington Commanders and New York Giants will come on the road.

Going into Sunday, the Chargers were the third team Dallas has faced this season with 10 or more wins. Their record against such teams now falls to 0-3.

Let's dive into more of the numbers from Sunday afternoon:

2

For the second time in franchise history, the Cowboys have had a 4,000 yard passer (Dak Prescott), 1,000 yard rusher (Javonte Williams), and two 1,000 yard receivers (CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens), with the previous instance happening in 2019. In both seasons, the Cowboys missed the playoffs.

4

For the fourth time this season, the Cowboys found the end zone on their opening drive against the Chargers. After struggling to get off to good starts for most of the season, Dallas has now gone back to back games with touchdowns on their first possession.

5

This season, George Pickens has five games with 130 or more receiving yards and a touchdown this season. That's the most such games by a wide receiver in Cowboys history. When Pickens has gone over 100 yards receiving this season, it has never been less than 130 yards.

7

With Tyler Smith moving to left tackle and T.J. Bass to left guard, the Cowboys trotted out their seventh different starting offensive line combination of the season against the Chargers.

14

The Cowboys defense missed 14 tackles on Sunday afternoon, the second-most they've missed in a game this season. Los Angeles took advantage of the opportunities, gaining 61 yards after missed tackles.

45.5%

After beginning the year as one of the heaviest zone-coverage teams in the NFL, the Cowboys have deployed a lot more man coverage in the last four games. Dallas has recorded three of their four highest man coverage rates in the last four weeks, with their second-highest rate of the season (45.5) being played against the Chargers.

54.5%

The Cowboys tried to bring the heat on Justin Herbert and a struggling Chargers offensive line, recording their highest blitz rate of the season at 54.5%. Dallas recorded 13 pressures for a 39.4% pressure rate, but did not sack Herbert, the first time this season that Herbert has not been sacked at least once.

70%

While Herbert had success under pressure, so did Dak Prescott, recording a 70% success rate when facing pressure, the second-highest success rate for Prescott in a game since 2018. On nine attempts vs. pressure, Prescott completed eight of his passes for 77 yards and took only one sack.

80

With three receptions on Sunday, Jake Ferguson has recorded 80 catches in 2025, the most in a season by a Cowboys tight end since Jason Witten had 110 back in 2012.

88

After picking up 51 yards on Sunday, CeeDee Lamb has recorded his fifth straight 1,000 yard receiving season. Lamb and Michael Irvin are the only two wide receivers in franchise history to record five consecutive 1,000 yard receiving seasons.
