FRISCO, Texas – Entering their toughest stretch of the season at 4-5-1, the Cowboys' backs were against the wall as they faced a five-day stretch with two games, both against the two teams that played in Super Bowl LIX less than a year ago.

And yet, Dallas won both games against the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs respectively, positioning themselves at 6-5-1 going into the final five games of the 2025 regular season.

Is the postseason a possibility? Who knows, but Thursday's win over the Chiefs certainly helps. That said, the Cowboys know they've got work to do, and with three straight wins, they've at the very least set themselves up to more than likely control their own destiny.

Let's dive into the numbers behind Dallas' Thanksgiving Day 31-28 victory:

2

The Cowboys lead all NFL teams this season in points scored in the second quarter with 146. Against Kansas City, the Cowboys scored 10 points in the second quarter from Brandon Aubrey's 49-yard field goal and Malik Davis' 43-yard touchdown run.

6

With 457 yards against the Chiefs, the Cowboys offense has put up six 400-plus yard games offensively this season, the most in the NFL. Additionally, Dallas has won the last six home meetings they've had against the Chiefs dating back to 1983.

11.3

According to former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on the CBS broadcast, one of Jadeveon Clowney's twos sack on Patrick Mahomes took 11.3 seconds to get to, as Mahomes bought plenty of time, but Clowney did not give up pursuit. Thursday was Clowney's first two-sack game since 2023.

33

After adding 59 yards to his season total against Kansas City, Javonte Williams has now rushed for a career-high 955 yards in his fifth NFL season, and first with the Cowboys. If he rushes for 45 more yards and eclipses the 1,000-yard mark, it'll be the fifth straight season the Cowboys have had a 1,000-yard rusher.

35%

The Cowboys defense forced pressure on Patrick Mahomes on 35% of his dropbacks, the second-highest pressure rate Mahomes has faced this season. Against pressure, Mahomes completed eight of his 10 passing attempts and two touchdowns, but was sacked three times.

43

Malik Davis' 43-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter was the second of his career. It was also the longest rushing touchdown the Cowboys have scored since 2022, when Tony Pollard scored a 54-yard touchdown against the Chicago Bears.

50

While being guarded by All-Pro Chiefs CB Trent McDuffie, Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb was able to draw three pass interference penalties for a grand total of 50 additional yards. That went along with his seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown, which made him the first Cowboys receiver to ever surpass the 7,000 receiving yards mark in their first six seasons.

56.3%

The Cowboys converted 56.3% of their third downs on Thursday, moving the chains nine times on 16 chances. It's their second-highest third down conversion rate of the season, and highest since Week 1 when they converted 63.6% of their third downs against the Eagles.

60%

In all 11 games this season, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has posted a 60% or better completion percentage. It's the longest active streak in the NFL, and second-longest streak to start a season in franchise history behind Tony Romo, who completed 60+% of his passes in 15 straight games in 2014.

73

George Pickens was targeted five times on slant routes against the Chiefs, a route that has become a staple of his playmaking thus far in Dallas. He caught four of those targets for 73 yards, the most receiving yards on slant routes in a game by a wide receiver in the NFL this season.
