CowBuzz: 'Boys Nearing The Bottom Of The Barrel In Latest Power Rankings

Oh how times can change in one year. Last year the Cowboys were fighting for their playoff lives when they visited Lambeau Field. This year when they returned, they were fighting to get to five wins. That didn't happen, and they dropped the team to 4-9 on the season.

The latest round of power rankings have the Cowboys falling to near the bottom. Here's a look at a few of them.

NFL.com drops the 'Boys three spots to No. 29 and points out Matt Cassel's rough outing, completing only 13 of 29 passes for 114 yards.  Here's what else they had to say:

*"If ever there was a quarterback who could make 13 of 29 for 114 yards look uglier than 13 of 29 for 114 yards, it was Matt Cassel. The Cowboys signal caller endured a rough outing at Lambeau, taking the shine off what is usually one of the NFL's classiest matchups. There have been so many wonderful football games played between these two franchises over the decades. Sunday's wasn't one of them."

FOXSPORTS.com drops the Cowboys six spots to the No. 29 position as well. Here's what they had to say:

"After a dreadful performance by Matt Cassel -- 114 yards passing, no touchdowns and an interception -- some Cowboys fans are starting to call for backup-backup quarterback Kellen Moore."

ESPN.com has the Cowboys dropping one spot to No. 24 this week. Here's what they had to say:

*"Dez Bryant has caught 42.2 percent of his targets this season -- including one of six in Week 14 -- worst in the NFL. Matt Cassel is 16-of-42 targeting Bryant this season."

Despite their 4-9 record, the Cowboys still have an outside chance to make the playoffs. I know, pretty unbelievable.
