AUSTIN, Texas – With the NFL Draft now less than a month away, collegiate Pro Days are one of the final opportunities for NFL teams to get eyes on prospects in-person before they're on the clock.

At the University of Texas on Tuesday in Austin, the Longhorns working out in front of NFL personnel were popular, as were the Dallas Cowboys that made the trip down I-35.

"This is a huge stop for us here coming to Texas," Cowboys head coach Schottenheimer said. "A spot right down the road with coach Sark, great relationship between him and the Cowboys and the University of Texas, so excited to be here."

Schottenheimer, defensive coordinator Christian Parker, VP of player personnel Will McClay, director of college scouting Mitch LaPoint, national scout Ross Wuensche and mid-south area scout Sam Garza made up the Cowboys' brass on hand in Austin.

Schottenheimer spent some of his time catching up with Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian, another offensive minded coach who also played quarterback in college. In his rounds around the entire event, Schottenheimer also held casual conversations with Texas QB Arch Manning and WR Cam Coleman, two players who could be first-round picks in the 2027 NFL Draft, as well as agent David Mulugheta, who currently represents Cowboys WR George Pickens.

Two of the more notable players in attendance are two that could make sense for the Cowboys in LB Anthony Hill and CB Manny Muhammad, both Dallas area native. Hill played high school football and Denton Ryan, and Muhammad at South Oak Cliff.

"It'll mean everything to get drafted by Dallas and I got the resume for it to be a huge history type story." Muhammad said when asked about what it would mean if he was drafted by the Cowboys and returned to Dallas.

After Pro Day finished, Hill said he had dinner with Schottenheimer, Parker and other members of the Cowboys organization on Monday night. Muhammad said that he was set to meet with the Cowboys at some point this week. Hill did not participate in any athletic testing drills on Tuesday, but did do position drills in front of scouts. Muhammad participated in the three-cone drill and also did positional drills in front of the NFL personnel on hand, and added afterwards that he feels he has the ability to play outside or in the slot/nickel spot at the NFL level, something he would only do for specific player matchups in college.

In total, 16 Longhorns participated in Pro Day on Tuesday. Hill, Muhammad, CB Jaylon Guilbeau, S Michael Taaffee, QB Matthew Caldwell, LB Trey Moore, TE Jack Endries, DL Travis Shaw, OL DJ Campbell, DE Ethan Burke, DL Cole Brevard, OL Cole Hutson, LB Marshall Landwehr, LS Lance St. Louis, P Jack Bouwmeester and K Mason Shipley made up all of the Texas players looking to raise their draft stock.

While full testing numbers weren't made available to media members, some notable numbers that were announced came on the bench press and vertical jump. Burke registered 15 bench press reps and a 29' vertical, Campbell put up 30 bench press reps and Endries added 17 reps for himself.

The Cowboys have drafted two players out of the University of Texas in the last three draft classes. Running back Jaydon Blue was a fifth-round pick in 2025, and LB DeMarvion Overshown was a third-round pick in 2023. Overshown recruited Hill, a five-star recruit in high school, to come to Texas from Denton Ryan, and the two played alongside one another in 2023. Hill joked that if he was drafted by the Cowboys, there couldn't be two "Agent Zero's," and he'd need to change his number.

With Austin in the books, the Cowboys are continuing their nation-wide tour of pro days. Schottenheimer and company will in Lubbock on Thursday for Texas Tech's pro day, according to Red Raiders head coach Joey McGuire.
