FRISCO, Texas – When Cowboys QB Dak Prescott takes the practice field in a few months for the spring offseason program, he'll face off against his fourth different defensive coordinator in as many years during practice.

So far, Prescott has gotten a positive first impression from Dallas' new shot caller on defense.

"Super excited about that hire," Prescott said while speaking at a Children's Cancer Fund event in Dallas on Wednesday. "Obviously I've met him, talked to him briefly, but excited just for the demeanor, the way he carries himself."

"Met the whole staff, and not only that, when you get to go to the Pro Bowl, you get to meet guys and get to talk to Zack Baun, Cooper DeJean, guys that played under him. Just to hear how much they loved him, how much they loved playing for him, how excited our guys are going to be. Super pumped."

As for himself, there aren't many big changes that need to be made to Prescott's game as he enters his 11th season in the NFL. At this stage of his career, the offseason serves as an opportunity to sharpen the things that often go unseen.

"Just all those little nuances," Prescott said when asked what he wanted to improve on during the offseason. "If there's one thing it's probably just some rhythm in my footwork. That's something that other people might not even realize or see, but it's just me wanting to be a perfectionist in the way that we do things. I started doing new things last year with Schotty in point of the footwork, and some of them just aren't quite to the standard we want them to be, and so that's a big part of it, but as you said, the whole game."

With the Cowboys re-signing Javonte Williams and placing the non-exclusive franchise tag on George Pickens, a lot of their offensive firepower from a season ago is returning in 2026. How much better does he think the offense can get?

"I don't want to put a limit on it." Prescott said.
