FRISCO, Texas – The 2025 preseason is behind us, as the Cowboys finished 1-2 in their first preseason campaign under Brian Schottenheimer.

Their one and only win came on Friday against the Atlanta Falcons by a final score of 31-13, capitalized by Joe Milton's bounce-back performance.

Now, just 10 days remain before the regular season kicks off against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Here are more of the notable numbers from the Cowboys' final preseason game:

2

The Cowboys notched two sacks against the Falcons on Friday, one by James Houston and the other by Perrion Winfrey. It was one of their better showings of the preseason getting into the backfield, with six tackles for loss and four quarterback hits as well.

5

Matt Eberflus' emphasis on takeaways has worked so far in the preseason, with the Cowboys finishing off the 2025 preseason with five after two picks against the Falcons. Robert Rochell, Kemon Hall, Israel Mukuamu, Shemar James and Andrew Booth all came down with an interception.

6.64

In the first two preseason games, the Cowboys put up one and negative-five yards respectively in the first quarter. Against Atlanta, they averaged 6.64 yards per play and finished with 113 yards of offense, getting off to the much better start that Brian Schottenheimer was looking for.

31

The lucky number this preseason was 31, as all the winners from Dallas' three games in the preseason scored 31 points to win. In two instances, the final score was 31-13, with the Ravens beating the Cowboys by that score and Dallas defeating Atlanta by the same margin.

36.4%

The Cowboys wanted to improve on first and second down, which they did, but third down wasn't great against Atlanta. Facing third down 11 times, they converted just four, good for a 36.4% conversion rate.

45

In a week that doubled essentially as a job interview at the wide receiver position, Ryan Flournoy came away as the team's leading receiver with 45 yards on four receptions.

47

After sitting 39 players in the first preseason game and 28 in the second, the Cowboys did not play 47 players on Friday against the Falcons. Part injury, part preservation, but Brian Schottenheimer wants to keep his players as fresh as possible for the opening game of the season against Philadelphia on September 4.

64

In typical Brandon Aubrey fashion, the third-year kicker made a 64-yard field goal going into the half look like a chip shot. The longest field goal Aubrey hit last year was from 65-yards, and Friday's would've likely been good from at least 70.

97.5

Joe Milton's first two preseason starts for the Cowboys weren't the best he's had. His third however was a different story, as he completed 10 of his 18 passing attempts for 132 yards and touchdown, good for a 97.5 passer rating. On the ground, Milton added 33 yards on four carries and a rushing touchdown.

100%

On three trips to the red zone, the Cowboys cashed in all three times with touchdowns. All three came on the ground, and all three came from the one-yard line with Joe Milton, Jaydon Blue and Phil Mafah punching it into the end zone.
