08_19_ How to Watch

OXNARD, Calif. — A good showing in the preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks has the Dallas Cowboys feeling good about the direction their team is heading as they get ready to travel to the desert to take on the Arizona Cardinals.

All eyes are on undrafted rookie Camden Brown to see if he can put on yet another show in Phoenix to continue his camp dominance, but also if the Cowboys' second- and third - string offensive linemen can keep Joe Milton and Sam Howell clean enough to wheel and deal.

And then there's the battle at backup RB, one that suddenly is shaken up after Malik Davis reminded everyone why he's here: to make plays, consistently.

WHEN AND WHERE:

Date: Saturday, August 22
Time: 9 p.m. CT
Location: State Farm Stadium (Glendale, AZ)

On the defensive side of the ball, look for the expected preseason debut of linebacker Jaishawn Barham. The rookie third-round pick missed the opener against the Seahawks with a minor groin injury but he's practiced fully this entire week, including against the Saints, and the team says the former Wolverine will likely take the field on Saturday.

That should be a sight to see, considering how great of a camp Barham was having in Oxnard prior to the injury; and there's also a chance first-round pick Caleb Downs gets another handful of reps while fellow first-rounder Malachi Lawrence looks to improve on his outing in Seattle.

There's simply no reason to not be glued to your screen for this one.
