Sunday's game with the Saints will feature several standout players from the opposing sideline, including quarterback Derek Carr, running back Alvin Kamara and even Chase Young, the No. 2 overall pick in 2020 for Washington that has now joined up with the Saints.
But New Orleans also has a couple of former Cowboys draft picks on their current roster as well.
Wide receiver Cedrick Wilson, a sixth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2018, is in his first season with the Saints. Wilson spent the last two years in Miami. He was with the Cowboys through the 2021 season. That year, he had 45 catches, 602 yards and six touchdowns for the Cowboys, turning that season into a free-agent contract with the Dolphins.
Defensive tackle John Ridgeway was a fifth-round pick in 2022 with the Cowboys. He made the roster out of training camp but was released in September that year with hopes of putting him not he practice squad. Washington picked him up and he spent two years with the Commanders, playing in 32 games, before being traded to the Saints this offseason.
On the flip side, the Cowboys have wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who was a draft pick of the Saints in 2014 (20th overall). Cooks played three years in New Orleans before stints with the Patriots, Rams and Texans before being traded to the Cowboys in 2023.
