Recently retired Cowboys offensive tackle Tyron Smith is now dipping his toes in the coaching waters, and staying close to home in Dallas by doing so, joining the East-West Shrine Bowl this season as an offensive line coaching advisor.

The East-West Shrine Bowl is one of the bigger pre-draft showcases where dozens of collegiate prospects gather to perform in front of NFL coaches, scouts and executives ahead of the NFL Draft. Now, the offensive tackles will get a chance to learn from one of the best linemen in recent history in Smith, who has already made efforts to help current Cowboys left tackle Tyler Guyton take the next step in his development over the course of the offseason last year.

Smith is far from the only Cowboy involved in this year's East-West Shrine Bowl, as former Dallas fullback Daryl Johnston is set to be inducted into the East-West Shrine Bowl Hall of Fame when the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl is played on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco.
