Pic 6: Defense starts strong, Davis leads RBs and more from Cowboys-Seahawks

SEATTLE - On Saturday night, the Cowboys' defense began the preseason in encouraging fashion, holding the Seahawks to 156 total yards, 76 of which came on their final seven drives of the game.

In his first game on the sidelines as a defensive coordinator, Christian Parker had his players ready to go. Offensively, both Sam Howell and Joe Milton did what head coach Brian Schottenheimer wanted them to do: Move the offense, and not turn the ball over.

It wasn't all positive for Dallas, however. The Cowboys racked up 13 penalties for 103 penalty yards and struggled on special teams, leaving Schottenheimer and his team with plenty to work on before their second preseason game against the Cardinals on August 22.
