I've been hearing and reading a lot about how Christian Parker's nickel cornerback needs to be a corner, a safety and a linebacker at times. We've seen Markquese Bell play safety and linebacker with some success and maybe a little corner. Could he be the guy Parker needs or is size an issue? – Jeff Cedarfield/Canton, CT

Tommy: If the Cowboys don't address the nickel spot in free agency/the draft, then yes, you're probably looking at Bell at the very least being an option. I don't think size is an issue, 6'3 and 205 as a frame can be versatile. What gives me pause is the body of work that Bell has had thus far playing both safety and linebacker. Has it been good enough up to this point to entrust him with such a large role with multiple responsibilities in Parker's defense? Maybe for a while, but I'm not sure it's a great long-term option.
