This game against the Giants will be regular-season game No. 1,000 for the Cowboys. What moment or moments from the team's regular-season history would you most like to see repeated on Sunday afternoon? For me, I'd like to see Jaydon Blue's rendition of Tony Dorsett's 99-yard touchdown run. – Jeff Joyce/Shawnee, KS

Nick: My favorite player growing up was Tony Dorsett. I've always loved the fact that he will hold that record for ever, even if it's tied with Derrick Henry. But there's so many ways to go with this answer.

When I start thinking about fun plays such as kickoff and punt returns, those are things we saw last year with KaVontae Turpin. We've seen some blocked punts and field goals and safeties and seemingly all of the cool plays over the years.

But when I think about the Giants and Cowboys, I do remember a wild game back in 2010 when the lights went out in the stadium. But another play I remember was Bryan McCann picking off Eli Manning in the end zone and scoring on a 101-yard return, the longest in team history. With DaRon Bland being out this week, there's going to be a young, inexperienced cornerback that most fans might not even know about. How cool would it be for someone like a Reddy Steward or Zion Childress to pick off a pass and run it back the entire field? Right now, just wanting to see a win, but I'll take that something unexpected like that.

Patrik: You stole my answer, Jeff. I'm old enough to remember that run from Dorsett, and it was unforgettable. Now, I'd rather the Cowboys not find themselves pinned to their own one-yard line at any given point, but if they are, I'd love nothing more than a simple handoff to Blue turning into one of the best plays of the season and in franchise history; and for a rookie who was inactive in Week 1, no less.

More recently, I would've simply taken another pick-six from DaRon Bland against the Giants, but one from Trevon Diggs would work just as well — a doppleganger event of what Bland did at MetLife Stadium in 2023. That's something that would instantly make the Giants' offense begin to doubt itself and the rest could be an unraveling led by a budding pass rush and an upgraded run defense. Give me either or, better yet, give me both ... and more.
