With the struggles the defense is having, should the Cowboys change their offensive game plan? Should they become a ball control offense? It seems as if they are still being aggressive even though the defense is struggling. I know it might lead to them not scoring as many points, but it also may help the defense by limiting the opposing offense's possessions. What do you guys think? – George Abbott/Homer, LA

Mickey: My thoughts, full steam ahead since in order to win the Cowboys must outscore their opponents. Take this last game, if you eliminate Denver's end of half and end of game possessions, they only had 10. They scored on seven of 10 full possessions, six touchdowns and one field goal. So, no matter the Cowboys won the time of possession, 33:32 to 26:28, the Broncos were nearly cashing in on each possession while the Cowboys offense couldn't keep pace. Just remember if you are limiting your opponent's possessions you also are limiting your own.

Tommy: I don't think you really want to change much when your offense is putting up north of 30 points a game for the most part week in and week out. I see that point that you're making, but it's not worth changing the identity of the unit that is playing the best for you when there's nothing wrong with it. Additionally, limiting the opposing offense's possessions doesn't necessarily mean you're limiting the opposing offense from scoring. If you keep giving up points and are left without a ton of time, it's going to be much more difficult and you're going to ask a lot of your offense to march down the field and get points in a crunch when they could've had a bit more on the scoreboard if the played like their usual selves.
