With Christian Parker now on board, will that potentially change what attributes the Cowboys look for in the draft or maybe change who they draft when? A lot of early mocks have linebackers or edge rushers at No. 12, but with Parker being a secondary coach, do they maybe prioritize cornerback? – Matt McGinnis/Hugo, MN
Tommy: I wouldn't say who the Cowboys draft, more specifically when a player of a certain position, changes with Parker too much. They're still going to go by their board, and if there's a noticeable difference between one player and a corner like in the situation you outlined, I think they would go with the player they've ranked higher. Now, if there's a bunch of defensive players clumped together, and Parker begins standing on the table for a defensive back, I think it could be in the cards to go his direction. The tough part with the draft is figuring out who far apart these players are at each point in team, and where you feel like your needs are, as it's an ever changing process.
