Under the previous coaches, I was always puzzled why the Cowboys never implemented more traditional running back screen passes into their playbook. With Brian Schottenheimer calling the plays now, and what looks like a stable of quality receiving running backs, might the screen pass come back into fashion for the Cowboys? – David Soden/Stafford, VA

Mickey: Now not sure if the Cowboys will be calling more screen passes, but they will be prevalent in this offense as an avenue to continue attacking with the run, serving as along handoff and a way get the speedy backs in space. Now a lot has to do with the offensive linemen ability to pull and block in space, but certainly what you will definitely see is using swing passes to the back out of the backfield, along with wide receiver and tight end screens. Love getting KaVontae Turpin out in space.

Tommy: I think you will see not just more RB screen passes, but RBs involved in the passing game as a whole more. Presumably their top three ball carriers right now, which in my opinion are Javonte Williams, Miles Sanders and Jaydon Blue, have shown they can be receiving threats for an offense. Blue was especially in his last year at Texas, but we'll have to see how quickly that can translate to the NFL level. Then you figure KaVontae Turpin into the equation given what he can do in open space, and you're looking at a solid aspect of your offensive arsenal.
