Mailbag: Guyton's potential under new coaches?

Excluding all the previous candidates for starting right guard (knowing already that Tyler Booker will be the starter), what veteran on this team should be sweating the most about the new competition and depth brought in during the offseason? 

I understand this isn't the 1990s anymore, but I'm concerned that a lot of the early season injuries we see come from the lack of physicality in training camp. The only way to get in hitting shape is to hit. Safety is one thing, but don't we achieve the exact opposite by not having the players ready to be hit in Week 1? 

With Dallas bringing in over 30 new players since the end of last season, are the Cowboys retooling or are they officially rebuilding? Whichever it is, I just hope it leads to success. 

I am SO amped to see how this season unfolds, beginning with training camp. In your minds, where does this team stack up (so far) with the 2023 team at this same point. Barring injuries, it doesn't seem like the Cowboys are far off, and that 2023 team was doing well (undefeated at home) until the end. Thoughts?

I've always categorized offensive linemen as either "road graders" (great for the run game) or "dancing bears" (better for pass protection). What kind of line do we have in your opinion? I feel like the identity of the offensive line should dictate what kind of offense you have. Curious if you think this line is built better for the run or the pass.

In light of the situation with Chargers' second-round pick Tre Harris planning to hold out from training camp, do we have a similar situation looming with our unsigned second-round rookie, defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku? How detrimental would that be to both Ezeiruaku's development and the Cowboys' defensive plans? 

Having read the articles dealing with the projected running back competition, why is Hunter Luepke being overlooked? It seems for what Brian Schottenheimer is trying to promote, Luepke fits the bill – blocking back, short-yardage threat, out-of-the-backfield receiver and a backup at the tight end position. Despite limited opportunities, he has proven he is an asset.

I was just talking with a friend about how this team needs more "dogs." You know, those players like Michael Irvin who are wired differently. Obviously, though, we can't see all the dynamics of the locker room, practice field, cafeteria, etc., so who do you see as the new top dogs on this team?

Given Jaydon Blue's elite speed, pass catching ability and illusiveness, do you see the Cowboys potentially bulking him up to make him more of an every-down running back? Or will he always be looked at as a change-of-pace guy? The Cowboys have had 5'9" backs before (Emmitt Smith), but they were considerably thicker.

It's now obvious that waiting to re-sign top players is the modus operandi for the Cowboys. We've seen it with CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott, Zack Martin, Ezekiel Elliott and now with Micah Parsons. But why? Parsons seems eager to sign. And in the end, these players get what they want anyway, and everyone seems happy. Is there any kind of advantage to dragging the process out? 

It seems to me that Dak Prescott struggles a bit when throwing the deep ball. I rarely remember him hitting someone in stride as they streak down the field. I feel like the majority of his deep throws (40 yards or more) either fall short, or the receiver has to make an acrobatic catch. What is your take on that?
