Mailbag: What Does Morris Move Mean For Zeke?

Mailbag-What-Does-Morris-Move-Mean-For-Zeke-hero

What do you make of the Cowboys bringing back Alfred Morris? With this move and reports that Zeke is going to train in Cabo, does it mean this holdout could last a while? -WAENARD W / FORT WORTH, TEXAS

Bryan: I believe that you have to think that this might last a while. This team does a great job of protecting themselves for these types of situations. The next move might be consider trading for a player if this does go longer.

Rob: The Cowboys are very short on experience without Elliott in camp, but I'm a little surprised they added a veteran this early. It was just one padded practice, but rookies Tony Pollard and Mike Weber ran well Monday. However, if they felt they needed more insurance against a potentially protracted holdout, Morris makes sense as a former fill-in starter. And they had to move quickly with reports he was visiting the Saints earlier Monday.

My favorite videos to watch from training camp are the one-on-one drills and last year we saw Antwaun Woods stand out in those drills. What new player do you think will be giving certain position groups trouble? I think as we get further in the camp, Trysten Hill will be giving the O-line fits. - COREY BATES / CHEYENNE, WY

Bryan: Thanks for watching Training Camp Live. Appreciate that. Daniel Wise has a really nice start to his camp, as did Dorance Armstrong. Could see Jon'Vea Johnson giving these cornerbacks trouble as well.

Rob: Jalen Jelks, the Cowboys' final draft pick back in April, has impressive traits. He's long and explosive, kind of in a Jason Taylor build (not a direct player comparison). Showed a nice first step rushing from the right side in one-on-ones Monday. He's someone to watch.
