The Dallas Cowboys added a proven lockdown corner when they traded a 2023 fifth round pick to Indianapolis for two-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler, Stephon Gilmore. Gilmore, the 2019 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, has amassed 27 career interceptions and 127 pass breakups, the second-most pass breakups in the NFL since he was drafted in 2012. Additionally, Gilmore has compiled 493 tackles, eight for loss, seven forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Along with 11 seasons in the NFL, he also brings plenty of postseason experience to a Dallas team that is looking to make a deep run. Gilmore, who has two career postseason interceptions, has started seven playoff games, won two AFC titles and helped New England to the Super Bowl LIII title. In his first season with Dallas Gilmore will start opposite of Trevon Diggs and bolster a Cowboys secondary that finished eighth in passing defense (200.9) in 2022.
