Biography
Drafted in the second round (49th overall) by the N.Y. Giants.
Looking for size and physicality on the interior of the defensive line, the Cowboys traded for Johnathan Hankins at the trade deadline of the 2022 season, bolstering their front for a postseason push. Hankins, originally a second round (49th overall) draft pick by the N.Y. Giants in 2013, has played in 138 games with 120 starts. He returns to Dallas in 2023 to resume his role in the middle of the Cowboys front seven and help the defense increase its production against the run.
